The Freedom Fight App & Community Terms of Use (Terms & Conditions)

Effective Date: January 26, 2026

Last Updated: February 19, 2026

Read This First (Plain-Language Summary)

This is the legal agreement between you and The Freedom Fight (“we,” “us,” “our”) for using:

  • The Freedom Fight mobile app and website (“App”), and
  • The Community Forum and any other online groups or forums we operate (“Community”).

This summary doesn’t replace the full Terms, but here are the big ideas:

  • Spiritual Tool, Not Professional Counseling – The Freedom Fight is a Christian discipleship and recovery resource. It is not medical treatment, psychological counseling, or professional therapy, and it is not an emergency service.
  • Eligibility & Accounts – You must be old enough to use the App under applicable law. The Community Forum is for adults 18 and older. You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
  • Use of Content – Our lessons, videos, text, images, and other materials belong to The Freedom Fight. We give you a limited, personal license to use them; you may not copy, distribute, or resell them.
  • Your Content & Community Behavior – You’re responsible for what you post. You agree to follow the Community Guidelines, which are part of these Terms. We can remove content or suspend your account if you violate these Terms or the Guidelines.
  • Privacy & Data – Our Privacy & Data Protection Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the App, you consent to those practices.
  • No Guarantees of Specific Outcomes – We cannot promise particular results—such as complete freedom from addiction or specific changes in your relationships.
  • Liability is Limited – To the fullest extent allowed by law, our liability to you is limited, and you agree not to hold us responsible for things outside our control or for other members’ or leader’s actions.
  • Governing Law & Disputes – These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, and disputes will be handled as described in Section 13.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use The Freedom Fight App or Community.

1.2 Scope of These Terms

These Terms of Use (these “Terms”) govern your access to and use of:

  • Any online community, forum, or group features we operate (collectively, the “Services”).

1.3 Agreement to These Terms

By accessing or using the Services in any way, you:

  • Agree to these Terms, and
  • Agree to any additional terms, guidelines, or rules we post, including the Community Guidelines for applicable spaces.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Services.

1.4 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:

  • We will update the “Last Updated” date at the top, and
  • We may provide additional notice (e.g., by email or in-app).

Your continued use of the Services after the updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

1.5 Related Policies

These Terms incorporate the following documents by reference:

  • The Freedom Fight Privacy & Data Protection Policy
  • The Freedom Fight Community Guidelines (for community features)

If there is a conflict between these Terms and any guidelines or policies, these Terms govern.

1.6 Changes to the Services and Availability

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services (including features, content, community tools, or availability) at any time, with or without notice.

We are not liable to you for any modification, suspension, discontinuation, or loss of access to the Services or any feature or content, except as required by applicable law.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

2.1 Eligibility

You may use the Services only if you:

  • Are at least 13 years of age;
  • If you are 13–17, you use the Services only with the involvement and consent of your parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be responsible for your use of the Services and your compliance with these Terms; and
  • Comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.

The Community Forum is limited to adults 18 years of age or older.  By accessing or participating in the Community Forum, you represent that you are at least 18.

2.2 Account Registration

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration, and
  • Keep your information up to date.

2.3 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to:

  • Not share your password with others, and
  • Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

We are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to protect your account.

2.4 Closing Your Account

You may request deletion or closure of your account as described in our Privacy & Data Protection Policy. Closing your account may limit or remove your access to content, history, and community features.

3. License to Use the Services

3.1 Limited License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, The Freedom Fight grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to:

  • Access and use the Services, and
  • View content made available to you through the Services,

for your personal, non-commercial use, spiritual growth, and discipleship.

3.2 Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Services or our content, except as allowed by law or these Terms;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App;
  • Sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the Services or any part of them;
  • Use the Services for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
  • Use the Services to develop a competing product or service.

3.3 Third-Party Services

The Services may include links or access to third-party websites, apps, or services. We are not responsible for:

  • The content of those third-party services, or
  • Any damage or loss arising from your use of them.

Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

3.4 App Store and Platform Terms

If you download or access the App through Apple’s App Store, Google Play, or another platform (each, a “Platform Provider”), your use of the App is also subject to the Platform Provider’s applicable terms and rules.

These Terms are between you and The Freedom Fight, not the Platform Provider. The Platform Provider has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.

To the extent permitted by law, the Platform Provider is not responsible for any claims, losses, or damages arising out of your use of the App. You agree to comply with all applicable Platform Provider requirements.

4. Community Features and User Content

4.1 User-Generated Content

The Services may allow you to submit, post, upload, or otherwise make available content such as messages, comments, testimonials, prayers, and other material (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the license granted in Section 4.2.

4.2 License You Grant to The Freedom Fight

By providing User Content, you grant The Freedom Fight a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to:

  • Use, host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display your User Content,
  • In connection with operating, improving, and promoting the Services and our ministry.

We will not use private or sensitive User Content (such as private messages or identifiable recovery details) in public-facing materials without your consent, except as required by law.

4.3 Community Guidelines

If you use any community or forum feature, you must comply with the Community Guidelines (or any other applicable community guidelines we publish).

  • Violating the Guidelines is a violation of these Terms.
  • We may remove User Content or restrict your access if we determine, in our discretion, that you have violated these Terms or the Guidelines.

4.4 Monitoring and Moderation

We may, but are not obligated to:

  • Monitor the Services and User Content, and
  • Remove or edit User Content that we consider inappropriate, harmful, or in violation of these Terms.

We do not undertake to review all User Content, and we do not guarantee that harmful content will never appear. Members should report concerning content promptly.

4.5 Your Responsibilities for User Content and Community Interactions

You are solely responsible for your User Content and your interactions with other users.

By posting or sharing User Content, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to share it;
  • It does not infringe or violate any person’s rights (including privacy, publicity, intellectual property, or contractual rights);
  • It is accurate to the best of your knowledge and is not misleading, fraudulent, or unlawful; and
  • It complies with these Terms and all applicable community guidelines.

We do not endorse User Content, and we are not responsible for statements, advice, or conduct of users. Use good judgment and, where appropriate, seek professional help from qualified providers.

If you choose to meet, communicate, or share information with other users, you do so at your own risk.

5. Counseling and Medical Care Disclaimer

5.1 No Professional Counseling or Medical Care

The Freedom Fight provides spiritual teaching, discipleship resources, and peer support. It does not provide:

  • Medical care
  • Psychological or psychiatric treatment
  • Professional counseling or therapy
  • Diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions

No therapist–client, doctor–patient, or other professional relationship is created between you and The Freedom Fight by your use of the Services.

5.2 Not an Emergency or Crisis Service

The Services are not intended for emergency or crisis situations. If you are in crisis or considering self-harm or harm to others:

  • Call your local emergency number immediately, or
  • In the United States, call 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Do not delay seeking professional or emergency help based on something you read in the Services.

5.3 Health and Outcomes

Any references to mental, emotional, relational, spiritual, physical, or financial outcomes are for informational and testimonial purposes only. Individual results vary, and we do not guarantee any specific outcome.

5.4 Premium Groups and Premium Group Certified Leaders

Certain features of the Services may include paid or invitation-only online groups, cohorts, or classes (“Premium Groups”) designed to support participants in pursuing freedom from addiction, sexual sin, and related behaviors through biblical teaching, discipleship, accountability, and community.

Premium Groups are facilitated by trained or certified leaders who have completed training through The Freedom Fight. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, Premium Group leaders are not licensed counselors, therapists, psychologists, physicians, or other medical or mental-health professionals.  However, some leaders may be independently subject to mandatory reporting obligations based on their profession or applicable law.

Premium Group leaders serve in a discipleship and peer-support capacity, not a clinical capacity. Leaders may guide participants through curriculum, facilitate discussion and prayer, and share encouragement or practical insights based on biblical principles and personal experience. Leaders may communicate with participants individually for support and accountability as part of the program. However, Premium Group leaders do not provide medical care, mental-health treatment, diagnosis, or professional counseling.

Participation in a Premium Group does not create a therapist–client, counselor–client, doctor–patient, or other professional relationship between you and:

  • The Freedom Fight,
  • Any Premium Group leader, or
  • Any other participant.

Premium Groups are intended to provide a faith-based recovery and discipleship environment and are not a substitute for licensed counseling, therapy, addiction treatment, psychiatric care, or medical treatment. You are responsible for your own physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being and for seeking professional care when appropriate.

If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health condition, addiction-related crisis, or any situation requiring professional intervention, you should seek assistance from a qualified licensed professional. Premium Group leaders and community members are not equipped to provide emergency or clinical services.

By participating in any Premium Group, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • The group is a ministry-based, peer-support environment;
  • Leaders are not acting as licensed clinicians or medical providers;
  • Participation is voluntary; and
  • Any decisions you make based on participation are made at your own discretion and responsibility.

6. Payments, Subscriptions, and Refunds

6.1 Paid Features

Some parts of the Services may be offered for a fee (e.g., premium content, groups, Premium Groups, or events). If you choose to purchase such offerings, you agree to pay all applicable fees and taxes.

Fees for Premium Groups or similar offerings provide access to faith-based discipleship and peer-support programming only and are not payment for medical, psychological, or clinical services.

6.2 Billing and Payment

Third-party payment providers handle payment processing. By providing payment information, you authorize us or our payment processor to charge you for the selected Services.

6.3 Refund Policy

Unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase, fees are generally non-refundable. Any exceptions or partial refunds are at our sole discretion and do not create an obligation to offer them again.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Content

All content in the Services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, videos, audio, curriculum, and software, is owned by The Freedom Fight or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

7.2 Limited License to Access Content

We grant you a limited, personal license to view and use this content for your own spiritual growth and discipleship, consistent with these Terms.

You may not, without our written permission:

  • Copy or distribute our content for commercial purposes;
  • Upload our content to other websites, apps, or platforms;
  • Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.

7.3 Trademarks

“The Freedom Fight” and any associated logos or marks are trademarks or service marks of The Freedom Fight. You may not use our marks without our prior written consent.

7.4 Copyright Complaints (DMCA)

If you believe that material available through the Services infringes a copyright you own or control, you may send us a written Digital Millennium Copyright Act notice (a “DMCA Notice”).

A DMCA Notice should include: (a) your physical or electronic signature; (b) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed; (c) identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it; (d) your contact information; (e) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and (f) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

Send DMCA Notices to:

We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material and may, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

8. Privacy and Data

8.1 Privacy Policy

Our Privacy & Data Protection Policy explains:

  • What personal information we collect,
  • How we use it,
  • How we share it, and
  • Your choices and rights.

By using the Services, you acknowledge that we will handle your personal information in accordance with that Policy.

8.2 Sensitive Nature of Information

You understand that use of the Services may involve the collection and processing of sensitive information, including information related to sexual behavior, addiction, and religious beliefs. You consent to our processing of this information as described in the Privacy & Data Protection Policy.

9. Prohibited Conduct

In addition to any prohibitions in the Community Guidelines, you agree that you will not:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose;
  • Post or transmit any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, or otherwise objectionable;
  • Engage in any behavior that exploits, harms, or attempts to exploit or harm minors;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services or other accounts;
  • Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Services or any servers or networks.

We may investigate and refer suspected illegal activity to law enforcement when appropriate.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may, at our discretion and without prior notice:

  • Suspend or terminate your account or access to the Services,
  • Remove or modify User Content, and/or
  • Take any other action we deem appropriate,

if we believe you have violated these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or applicable law, or if we determine it is necessary to protect the safety and integrity of the Services or other users.

Upon termination:

  • Your right to access the Services ceases immediately;
  • Certain provisions of these Terms will continue to apply (including Sections 4, 5, 7, 8, 10–14).

11. Disclaimers

11.1 “As Is” and “As Available”

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement;
  • Any warranties that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
  • Any warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content.

11.2 No Professional Advice

Any information, content, or materials provided through the Services are for spiritual, educational, and informational purposes only and do not constitute professional, legal, medical, or mental health advice.

12. Limitation of Liability and Indemnification

12.1 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Freedom Fight and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, ministry partners, and agents will not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages;
  • Any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data;
  • Any damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Services or any content therein.

If, despite this limitation, liability is found, then—again to the fullest extent permitted by law—our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of:

  • The amount you paid (if anything) for access to the Services during the twelve (12) months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or
  • One hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).

12.2 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Freedom Fight and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, ministry partners, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

  • Your use of the Services;
  • Your User Content;
  • Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law;
  • Your interaction with other users.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Services are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Arkansas for the resolution of any disputes that are not subject to informal resolution or another agreed method of dispute resolution.

13.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing a claim against us, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at info@thefreedomfight.org and describing the issue and the relief you are seeking.

If the dispute is not resolved within thirty (30) days after we receive your notice, either party may pursue formal resolution as described below.

13.2 Arbitration Agreement

Except for disputes that qualify for small claims court or disputes seeking injunctive or equitable relief for the alleged unlawful use of intellectual property, you and The Freedom Fight agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved by binding arbitration.

The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules (or, if not applicable, its Commercial Arbitration Rules). Unless we agree otherwise, the arbitration will take place in Arkansas, or may be conducted by telephone, video conference, or written submissions where permitted by the rules.

You and we each waive the right to a trial by jury and to participate in a court proceeding (except as stated above). The arbitrator may award the same damages and relief that a court could award, but only on an individual basis.

13.3 Class Action Waiver

You and The Freedom Fight agree that each may bring claims against the other only in your or its individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding.

If a court determines that this class action waiver is unenforceable for a particular claim, then that claim (and only that claim) will proceed in court rather than arbitration.

13.4 Venue for Certain Disputes

For disputes not subject to arbitration, and for any action to enforce or challenge an arbitration award, you agree that the state and federal courts located in Arkansas will have exclusive jurisdiction and venue, and you waive any objection to such jurisdiction or venue.

14. Miscellaneous

14.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy & Data Protection Policy and applicable Community Guidelines, constitute the entire agreement between you and The Freedom Fight regarding the Services.

14.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

14.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.

14.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

14.5 Electronic Communications

By using the Services, you consent to receive communications from us electronically (for example, by email, in-app messages, or postings within the Services).

You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

14.6 Force Majeure

We will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disputes, cyberattacks or other security incidents (including hacking or unauthorized access), internet or hosting failures, power outages, failures of third-party service providers, or governmental actions.

14.7 No Third-Party Beneficiaries

Except as expressly stated in Section 3.4 regarding Platform Providers, these Terms do not confer any rights or remedies on any third party.

14.8 Headings

Headings are for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation of these Terms.

14.9 Survival

Sections that by their nature should survive termination or expiration of these Terms will survive, including provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and miscellaneous terms.
