Freedom Fight Story: Finding Freedom through truth + accountability.

How to Quit Porn

Porn addiction was a part of my life for over twelve years, and I’d say I watched porn almost every day during high school and most of college.

Before starting the Freedom Fight, I had attempted to quit watching porn two or three times with varying lengths of success, but the “cold turkey” approach never led to lasting freedom. I’m happy to say that it has now been well over 200 days since I last viewed pornography and I owe that in large part to taking part in a Freedom Fight Group. The most impactful part of the group for me has been the consistency of daily accountability check-ins with the other group members and weekly group meetings to press deeper into the Freedom Fight content.

There’s no doubt in my mind that I wouldn’t have seen the success I’ve been able to see in my fight against porn addiction without the help of the guys in my group.

Besides equipping me with practical tools to battle porn addiction, the Freedom Fight has also grown my relationship with God considerably. Through participating in the group, I’ve been able to see the Lord’s faithfulness in using community to help me battle sin.

The Freedom Fight has been one of the clearest examples in my life that confessing our sins to one another really does produce healing and transformation.

I’m so thankful to God that I’m set free from the shame of porn addiction by trusting in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and am empowered by the Holy Spirit to continue battling sin in my life.”  – Austin
