The FF has a holistic approach that is Biblically based, scientifically informed and application oriented. All programs have content but the FF has the technology and tools to make accountability a daily habit through our app. The app not only gives you the chance to check in but it gives you analytics of your check ins so you can see patterns and make adjustments. Many programs simply focus on behavior modification but if genuine freedom is going to happen you must deal with the key factors driving the use. There are 6 drivers that must be dealt with in order to find freedom and the FF systematically deals with each of these. We address each driver with a holistic approach that includes the following four areas: Physical (brain science), Spiritual (God’s help and wisdom of the scriptures), Emotional (learn to process your emotions instead of medicating them) and Social/Relational (develop authentic accountability).
It typically takes 6-9 months to complete the program depending on how many videos you go through each week. A porn or sex addiction is considered by experts to be one of the most challenging addictions to break. For many they want a 2nd or 3rd round of antibiotics, so to speak, to ensure that they have established a recovery lifestyle. We strongly encourage those who complete the program to facilitate a FF group with others because that often takes the recovery to a deeper level when you begin to pass it on to others. You don’t have to be finished with your recovery before you start helping someone with theirs. The second time through you typically get more out of it and you start to experience how God can use you and your story to help others. All of this strengthens your recovery. Once you finish the program you will have access to new monthly content as you continue to stay connected to accountability through the App.
The Freedom Fight had a Donation Model. We ask people to pay it forward after they see results.
Yes, you can go through the FF individually OR in a small group. There is a leader guide, and multiple leaders videos, discussion questions and everything you need to facilitate an effective FF small group. After going through it individually we encourage people to go through it again with friends. The small group experience adds important dimensions to your recovery that will help you go further faster in finding freedom.
Yes, if you want to get the most out of the program. We have a free writable Study Guide in the resource section that you can download. For those who want a physical copy, we have an option for you to purchase those. The Study Guide has blanks to fill in for each lesson and contains a short Bible study to connect the principles in the lesson to the scriptures.
After you purchase the FF program through our website you can download the App in the App or Google store. Just use the same login in you signed up with and your App will be synced with your online FF account. You have full access to the program through the App.
Yes. The FF is addressed to men but women who struggle with a pornography/sex addiction will benefit just as much from the program. All the principles of recovery will apply to both as do the tools we will equip you with. Don’t just take our word for it but see the comments below from a couple of women campus ministers who took other women through the program.
“As a female campus minister, The Freedom Fight has been an incredible resource to help the women I’ve taken through it understand the sexual addiction that they are dealing with. Knowing how the body responds during addictive thinking and developing tools to combat that thought process made a huge difference in creating new and healthy patterns. The women who participated in this program made small steps each week to break their cycle of addiction by implementing the accountability and principles from the Freedom Fight!”
– Hannah Manry, Collegiate minister, CU Boulder
“I think that anyone, no matter whether you struggle with sexual addiction or not, should go through the FF course because it brings awareness to your overall emotional and spiritual health.”
– Carrie, female campus minister
